OYFC Half Term Football Camp a resounding success!

November 11, 2016

What do children do during half term? Plenty will stay at home watching television or playing on their consoles. For those fortunate to have enrolled on Omonia Youth FC’s Half Term Football Camp they enjoyed a week of activities, football skills and fun.

Community football club Omonia Youth FC, sponsored by P&M Construction Ltd, and in association with NL Sports put on a thoroughly successful football camp which the children, parents and coaches hailed as a total success.

Taking place at Highlands School for the entire half term week, the football camp was superbly supported and the turnout was high.

The children enjoyed a variety of structured and planned sessions each day: from warm ups, ball mastery, ‘top bins’, goalkeeper challenge, and individual skills to football tennis! And there was plenty more.

Feedback from parents was positive and flowing with praise:

“My son loved it today. He wants to come again”;

“Nick, Jimmy just wanted to give you feedback on a top football camp this week. My boys loved it and they were so tired every day. Well done guys you really have helped the club out so much dedicating your time off work to run the camp.”;

“My 2 kids and nephews wouldn’t stop taking about it for days after the event!”;

“My boys loved the camp so much thank you Nick.”;

“Nick, can you please make sure you do a camp every half term?”

It was a really fun atmosphere where all the children got on well and made new friends too. At the end of the week every boy and girl was presented with a trophy for all their hard work and participation. The camp proved to be such a huge success that the club, along with NL Sports are already looking forward to the next one which will take place during the February Half Term.

Omonia Youth FC would like to thank Nick Lingis of NL Sports and Jimmy Mousicos (both coaches at the club) for their efforts during the week.

Look out for the next football camp during February half term – it is sure to be popular!
