Omonia Youth FC, a community football club sponsored by Diamond Corp. Ltd., had an eventful weekend on the field with remarkable victories and spirited performances. Additionally, two teams from Omonia Youth FC are currently in Cyprus as part of an international tour, adding excitement to their journey. Kyri Eleftheriou & Myri Demetriou’s U15 White and Adam Demetri’s U18 Silver teams are set to play exhibition matches against Cyprus’ youth academies. Best wishes to them for a memorable experience!

David Poncia & Savva Zavros Omonia Youth FC U18 Gold: The U18 Gold team displayed dominance with a convincing 4-0 win in the Spring Cup match. Goals from Alex, Ky, and Isaac, along with a stellar performance from Leo, propelled them to victory. Coach David praised the adaptability of his players, securing a spot in the semi-finals with one game to spare.


Mary Tryphona’s Omonia Youth FC U16 Pan-Disability: Despite playing with only five players, the U16 Pan-Disability team showcased immense effort and sportsmanship in their games at Brentford FC’s academy ground. Although they faced defeat, Leo’s remarkable goals and the team’s positive attitude left a lasting impression. Excitement brews for their upcoming match at Millwall FC in March.

Kyri Karaiskakis’s Omonia Youth FC U8 Silver: The U8 Silver team demonstrated versatility and cohesion in their Watford Friendly League match. Coach Kyri’s decision to experiment with player positions proved successful, highlighting the team’s adaptability and bond on the pitch.

Paul Lambrianides, Sadat Sayeed & Peter Jordanou’s Omonia Youth FC U11 Green: The U11 Green team engaged in an intense battle, showcasing their determination and skill in a thrilling match. With fabulous goals and resilient defence, the team continues to grow together, making their coaches and parents proud.

Markou, Manos Hadjimanolis & Andy Stavrou’s Omonia Youth FC U13 White: In the WFL Spring Plate Group A match, the U13 White team delivered a stellar performance, dominating from start to finish. With exceptional teamwork and defensive prowess, they secured their 9th clean sheet of the season. Kernius and Zain stood out as joint Players of the Match, highlighting their defensive contributions.
