Another memorable week for Omonia Youth FC saw the season rounded off in style across multiple age groups, highlighted by a special achievement at the top end of the club. U10 Green: Greens Sign Off with Quality and Character
WFL

Omonia Youth FC U10 Green

The Greens rounded off their league season with an excellent, closely fought contest against a very good St Albans City South side, in a match played in great spirit throughout.

Both teams showed quality and determination from the first whistle, producing a competitive and entertaining encounter that reflected how far they have all come over the course of the season. The Greens worked tirelessly across the pitch, combining disciplined defending with confident, purposeful attacking play.

Their teamwork and resilience were evident in every phase, matching a strong opposition who tested them throughout. It was a fitting finale to the campaign—an absorbing, high-quality game played with respect, effort, and sportsmanship on both sides.

U18 White: Champions Crowned in Style
WFL | Away | Win 0-2 | vs Maccabi | Goal-scorers: Kordian, Blake

Champions.

A sensational and decisive victory secured the league title, with the task clear from the outset—win, and the title was theirs. Anything less would have left the door open.

The first half was fiercely contested, with both sides battling hard. Maccabi relied heavily on long balls and physical challenges, but the Omonia defence stood strong. When Omonia managed to play their football, passing and moving with intent, they created openings, only to be denied by last-ditch defending and a resilient goalkeeper. The sides went into the break level, but the belief remained.

The message at half-time was simple—keep the intensity, but trust in their football. The second half saw exactly that. Omonia dealt superbly with the aerial threat and began to impose their style, moving the ball quickly and using the width of the pitch.

The breakthrough finally came after a brilliant individual run, setting up Kordian to calmly finish. With momentum building, Omonia continued to press, only to be repeatedly denied by an inspired opposition goalkeeper. Eventually, the pressure told, as Blake weaved his way through before finishing to seal the result.

The final whistle sparked unforgettable scenes.

This title has been built over the course of the entire season—14 wins, 2 draws, and just 2 defeats—an incredible achievement. For a group that has grown together since the age of seven, alongside those who have joined along the way, it represents not just success, but the culmination of years of hard work, development, and unity.

A truly special moment for a special group.

U15/16 Girls: Flawless and Dominant from Start to Finish
GSL | Home | Win 9-0 | vs Barnet Panthers | Goal-scorers: Ria x3, Amelia x3, Faith x2, Tia

Omonia Youth FC U15/16 Girls

An outstanding and complete performance saw the girls deliver a flawless display from start to finish.

Despite having no recognised goalkeeper, the team showed incredible organisation, teamwork, and determination, ensuring there was no real threat on their goal throughout. Their football was of the highest quality—switching play effectively, building from front to back, and finding gaps with intelligent movement and passing.

The goals reflected their all-round quality, with a mix of finishes including headers, strikes with both feet, and top-corner efforts. Ria and Amelia both claimed hat-tricks, with Faith adding two and Tia also getting on the scoresheet.

It was a performance full of fight, grit, and togetherness, with contributions from every player across the pitch. A truly dominant display and one that the coaches can be immensely proud of.

U10 White: Strong Finish Seals Season Progress
Away | vs AFC Southgate Knights | Coaches: Cos C, Mike G

Omonia Youth FC U10 White

The Whites rounded off their season with an excellent and mature performance in ideal football conditions, showing just how far they’ve progressed over the year.

After a difficult start, the team responded with determination and improved organisation, pressing higher and working harder off the ball. Their direct approach in the first half created several promising counter-attacks and helped build confidence.

The second half was particularly impressive. Playing with momentum, they applied sustained pressure, won key battles, and forced mistakes from the opposition. Their attacking play became more fluid, while defensively they remained disciplined and focused, limiting chances.

As the game progressed, their resilience and togetherness stood out, managing the match with real maturity. The final whistle confirmed a well-earned victory—made even more satisfying against a higher division side who had previously beaten them heavily earlier in the season.

A fitting end to a campaign full of growth and development.

It’s been a week that captures the essence of Omonia Youth FC—progress, resilience, and achievement at every level. From league champions to strong team performances and continued development across the age groups, the club continues to move forward with pride and purpose.
