Omonia Youth Women– Kicking Off in Style
Win: 5-1| Coach: Sophia
Goal Scorers: Maz, Donya, Hannah & Sophia
Tonight, after weeks of training, the ladies made their 5-a-side league debut with a fantastic 5-1 win! Every outfield player got on the scoresheet, and everyone put in a proper shift. A brilliant team performance.
But what makes this group so special goes beyond football. It’s the friendships, support and genuine bond we’re building together. Massive well done to all the ladies! After a well-deserved break next week, we’re back to face the toughest team in the league. A big challenge, but one we’ll take on together!
If anyone knows someone who’d like to join us, make new friends and be part of this fantastic group, please reach out!
U12 White- Coming Back Stronger
Coaches: Michael, Said & Anastasia
A tough result today, but the scoreline didn’t tell the whole story. We competed well in spells but need to be more composed in front of goal and work harder for each other, especially when we’re without the ball.
Football is about more than individual ability. It’s about movement, teamwork, effort and putting the team first. We know what these boys are capable of when they support each other and play with confidence. Plenty to learn from today, and we go again next week with a positive mindset!
U11 Silver– A Performance Built on Teamwork
Coach: James
What an amazing performance from the boys! With only 7 players available and no substitutes, the boys showed incredible determination, teamwork and fighting spirit against a very strong New Salamis side.
Goals from Leo, Joseph and Kallistos gave us a fantastic start, with Kallistos adding another late on! Huge credit to Lucas, Leo Archer, Alex P and goalkeeper George M for their outstanding defensive work and brilliant saves.
Every player battled for one another, stayed positive under pressure and showed what can be achieved through hard work, belief and unity.
Absolutely proud of every single one of them!
ONE TEAM, ONE SPIRIT, OMONIA!
U8 Silver – Big Smiles
PoTM: Andreas | Coaches: Sof & Dean
We were officially in our new home kits today, and what a way to show them off! Luca opened the scoring with a brilliant strike from outside the box, followed by James finishing off a cleverly worked corner. Olis then sealed the win with a great run down the wing and a composed finish from the cross.
We couldn’t be prouder of the boys! With only 5 players and no substitutes, they ran their socks off and followed instructions brilliantly, especially Jacob. POTM was a tough choice, but Andreas stood out with his best performance yet, making some fantastic saves in goal and showing great marking outfield.
Our U8 Silvers are growing in confidence with every game. A well-deserved win, and we go again next week!
U16 Silver – Belief, Battle and a Brilliant Comeback
Win: 4-3 | PoTM: Abdulai | Coaches: Yianni & Marino
An impressive performance from Omonia Silver U16s, securing their first win of the season in a thrilling comeback!
After going 2–0 down, Nubeyd pulled one back with a fantastic strike assisted by Abdulai. In the second half, Madhi equalised from a Charlie assist before debutant Abdulai scored to put Omonia ahead. Charlie then added a brilliant long-range goal to make it 4–2. HMH pulled one back late on, but Stephan and the defence held firm to secure the win!
The boys showed incredible determination and team spirit. Player of the Match went to debutant Abdulai, whose goal and overall impact helped transform the game.
U9 Silver – Goals, Teamwork and Growing Confidence
PoTM: Kyri | Coach: Conor
Goal Scorers: Sokratis, Freddie, Jack & Isaac
A fantastic team performance today, with great work rate across the pitch and some brilliant connections developing as the boys gain more match time together.
Five great goals from four different scorers! Sokratis got his well-deserved first goal of the season, Freddie smashed home after a brilliant run, Jack added his trademark ball rolls and tap-in, and Issac continued his fine form with another two goals! POTM goes to Kyri for his excellent positioning and some crucial tackles. Well done, Kyri!

U11 Platinum – Determination, Debuts and Progress
PoTM: Christopher | Coaches: Simian & Dee- in partnership with the Transition Football Academy (TFA)
A great performance from the boys this week, with plenty of positives to take away. We started brilliantly, playing at a high tempo, creating chances and showing some excellent football on and off the ball. Although we tired a little towards the end, the boys battled right to the final whistle, showing great determination and character.
A big welcome to our two new additions, Dylan in goal and Christopher on the left wing. Great to have you both on board.
POTM- Christopher- An outstanding debut, showing confidence, quality and energy down the left from the very first whistle. A well-deserved award.
The team is coming together nicely, and there’s plenty to build on as we look ahead to next week. Keep working hard, boys!
U12 Green – Great Football, Teamwork and Composure
Win: 3-1 | PoTM: Fernando | Coaches: Alvin & Neil
Another pleasing performance from the Greens, with the boys continuing to put into practice what we’ve been working on in training. Harry’s excellent free kick found Louis, who finished from close range. Limassol equalised, but the Greens responded brilliantly, with debutant Aston winning the ball in midfield and setting up Harry to smash an absolute screamer into the top corner!
The boys started the second half strongly, moving the ball well and creating chances. Their persistence paid off when a great passing move involving Dylan and Mario set up Arlind, who held off his defender to finish brilliantly.
PoTM- Fernando- for being an absolute rock at the back and showing great composure on the ball.
Well done, boys! Another strong team performance with plenty of positives to build on.
U10 Green – A Strong Response and a Team United
PoTM: Chris | Coaches: Andy, Paul & Chris
After a difficult outing last time, the boys were asked to show a reaction, and they delivered brilliantly! From the first whistle, Omonia showed great determination, winning the ball back and creating plenty of chances. Leo was a real threat on the wing, repeatedly beating his opponent and linking up brilliantly with Manu.
The second half saw the boys raise their game further, with improved passing, great work rate and stronger teamwork throughout. Christopher was excellent in midfield, driving forward and picking out some great through balls.
POTM – Chris for a fantastic all-round performance, winning the ball back and launching attacks. A well-deserved award to end his birthday weekend!
Well done, boys. A fantastic response and plenty of positives to build on.
U10 White – Resilience, Togetherness and Fighting Spirit
PoTM: | Coaches: Chris J, Zac & Chris C
Another fantastic display of teamwork, togetherness and hard work from the boys today! Despite going 1–0 down early on, they kept their heads up, showed great determination and fought back brilliantly.
Great goals from Hugo, Robert and Cristiano, backed by a brilliant team effort from everyone on the pitch. Proud of the boys for their resilience, fighting spirit and commitment to each other!
U12 Gold- Character, goals and a winning response!
Win: 4-3 | PoTM: George | Coaches: Andy, Chris & Joe
A tough game that saw the boys respond brilliantly after a hard first half left us 2–2 at the break. The team raised their standards after half-time, showing the character and quality that make them such a force this season.
Goals from Phillip, George, Raff and Enzo take us to 24 goals in 6 games, with our training ground work paying off.
George led from the front and scored, while birthday captain Emilio delivered a brilliant performance. Phillip got another goal, Raff finished superbly, and Enzo’s tireless work was rewarded with a goal. Noah was brave at the back, Andreas continued building sharpness after injury, Constantino helped settle the team, Teddy was relentless, Lyke linked play well, and Michael provided width and worked hard at both ends.
When things got tough, we found a way – that’s what good teams do! Now onto a couple of Omonia derbies. Let’s be ready!
U16 White– A Hard-fought Win
Win: 1-0 | PoTM: Davit | Coaches: George A & Mark H
Goal Scorers: Dean
Omonia faced a spirited Whetstone side, last year’s cup semi-finalists, in a tough encounter. Omonia dominated the chances, with Chris setting up Dean for his first goal of the season with a powerful finish into the bottom corner. Davit, Edmund, Denys and Theo were solid at the back, while a second goal from Luke and Yahya was ruled offside. HT: 0–1
Omonia created more chances after the break. Theo saw a header cleared off the line, while Adam and Yahya also came close. Abel impressed at the back, driving the ball forward into midfield. Overall, a valuable three points and a clean sheet, moving Omonia up the table. However, it was a nervy performance, with plenty to work on in training.
PoTM – Davit: Relentless tackling, a key contribution to the clean sheet and positive runs into the attacking third.
U10 Silver – Fighting until the Final Whistle
PoTM: Themis | Coach: Neil
Omonia U10 Silvers faced a physically strong Sporting Kids side in Hemel Hempstead. The boys battled brilliantly, held their positions and competed for every ball. After conceding two quick goals in the first half, the Silvers produced some of their best football of the season after the break. Theo, Carlos and Themis were outstanding, Dilon was magnificent in goal, and Kimon battled hard up front.
A huge improvement from last week, with the boys showing real fight and deserving more from the game. Player of the Match – Themis: A storming defensive performance and a huge improvement, with Carlos and Theo also outstanding.
