Club Information
Omonia Youth FC - Football for All
Omonia Youth Football Club is a registered charity and FA-accredited grassroots football club based in North London.
Founded in 1994, the Club has built a strong reputation for providing a safe, inclusive, and professionally structured football environment.
We offer opportunities across boys’, girls’, pan-disability, and men’s teams, creating clear pathways for players to develop, compete, and enjoy the game within a supportive community.
Our focus is on long-term player development, teamwork, and creating positive experiences both on and off the pitch. Through our structured football pathways, players are encouraged to learn, progress, and reach their potential in a well-organised and positive environment.
At the heart of the Club is a dedicated network of volunteers, coaches, and families who work together to support every player, ensuring they enjoy their football, build confidence, and feel proud to be part of the Club.
The Club is run entirely by volunteers, with its day-to-day operations managed by a volunteer committee and its governance overseen by a board of trustees who ensure the charity continues to serve the community and uphold its values.
Our Ethos
At Omonia Youth FC we believe:
- The welfare of every child always comes first.
- Children should be treated as children, not as small adults.
- Every player deserves a fair opportunity to participate, compete, and succeed.
- Development and enjoyment come before results – a “win at all costs” mentality is discouraged.
- Positive coaching encourages effort, skill development, teamwork, and confidence.
- Players are encouraged to show commitment through training, matches, good behaviour, and respect.
- Football should develop the whole child – socially, physically, and personally.
Omonia Youth FC welcomes players from all backgrounds and abilities, promoting respect, inclusion, and community spirit.
Above all, we are proud to be a community club where players, families, coaches, and volunteers support one another.

Club Accreditation
Omonia Youth FC were awarded the FA Charter Standard Award in 2005 which acknowledged that we are well-run and sustainable, as well prioritising child protection, quality coaching and the implementation of the FA’s Respect programme.
Football leagues and clubs accredited by The FA have positively changed the football landscape over the last 20 years, creating the ideal environments to nurture players, coaches and volunteers.
The result is greater diversity and inclusivity throughout football. England Football Accreditation has now replaced The FA Charter Standard and is the next chapter in this amazing story as the FA unites even more communities by supporting Leagues and Clubs over the next 10 years.
Omonia Youth FC became accredited in 2021.
Accredited clubs and leagues lead the game by example and are considered to be a safer, stronger, more effective and more enjoyable place to play football. As the EngandFootball.com website states:
“When you’re Accredited you’re not just part of it, you’re the beating heart of it.”
