Significant results for Omonia Youth FC teams

With the end of season fast approaching, many Omonia Youth FC teams are involved in promotion, divisional title and cup battles.
This past weekend saw several teams’ record significant results as Omonia Youth FC, sponsored by P&M Construction Ltd, looks for a strong end to the season.
Chris Gregoriou’s Under 15 White had a thumping 6-2 win the Spring Plate Group A match. There were six different goal scorers including the goal keeper, Luke Stelios who came forward to dispatch his penalty with consummate ease. The goal scorers were Nicholas Gregoriou, Gregory Georgiou, Michael Patsias, Stephanos Kizas and Chris Yiannitsarou. Man of the Match was Liam Togher
Kyri Georgiou’s Under 15 Green suffered a heavy defeat as they went down 6-0. Man of the Match was Cameron.
Elia Constanti’s Under 16 Green staged the comeback of the day. Trailing 3-1 with 15 minutes to go, the team dug deep, showed incredible resilience and maturity to win 4-3 in their Spring Shield Group game. Goals from Christian Medina, a debut goal from Damian Doda, Kobi Brown and the winner from Lotjan Breganaku. Man of the Match was Toki Ogunnaike
By contrast, Nick Zimaras’ Under 16 White tasted defeat, losing 3-2 in their Spring Cup Group A tie.
Goals were scored by Carlos Simao and Jacob Tatunda. Man of the Match was Aron Chace.
Three Under 12 teams played on Sunday and all three were undefeated with two sides scoring important wins.
George Sammoutis and Harry Theodorou’s Under 12 Silver drew 0-0.
Michael Pieri’s Under 12 White recorded a thumping 8-2 victory and secured three points which leaves them just a point away from being crowned divisional champions. It was a fantastic performance from the team and all the players had a positive impact on the game. The goals were scored by Santino Raia (2), Pano Chambi (2), Alfonso Rosselli, Vaughan Frederick, Anthony Fereos and Sami Hristov. An encouraging debut from Michael Nicola topped off a brilliant afternoon. Vaughan Frederick was named Man of the Match.
Chris and Jimmy Mousicos’ Under 12 Gold were also victorious as they stay in the fight for promotion. Another positive performance saw them win 1-0, thanks to an own goal. Man of the Match was Mohammad Conteh.
Demi Shiamishi’s Under 13 Green showed great spirit to twice come back from behind to earn a 2-2 draw, scoring the equaliser in the last minute.  Goals were scored by Jacob Mohan and Michael Petinou. Man of the Match was awarded to Koby Dutton.
Elsewhere, Andy Charalambous’ and Panos Papa-Michael’s U13 Gold and U14 White joined forces in a friendly where they drew 4-4. Many positives were taken from the game and all the boys played well together.
