Another thrilling week for Omonia Youth FC saw incredible moments across all age groups. From debut brilliance and record-breaking starts to heroic battles and dramatic comebacks, the club’s teams demonstrated their talent, teamwork, and unwavering commitment. This week also featured an eagerly awaited intra-club derby, further showcasing the camaraderie and competitive spirit that define Omonia Youth FC. U10 Silver vs U10 Green: A Derby to Remember
Today saw the eagerly anticipated Omonia U10 derby between the Silvers and the Greens, and the friendly rivalry did not disappoint. The first half was closely contested, with both sides battling for control. The Greens eventually broke the deadlock, scoring a well-deserved goal just before the half-time whistle after a period of strong possession and pressure.
The Silvers, however, were undeterred and came out with renewed energy in the second half. Their determination paid off as they quickly equalised, setting the tone for an impressive second-half performance. The Silvers then went on to secure a few more goals, capping off an exciting and spirited encounter.

U18 Girls: A Fearless Display in a High-Scoring Victory
The U18 Girls delivered an outstanding 7-4 win despite facing challenges with absences and an unfamiliar defensive lineup. The first 25 minutes of the match featured some of the season’s finest football, with composed build-up play and seamless passing. The second half brought challenges as discipline wavered, but the team fought hard to secure the win. Lilly shone on her debut with two fantastic goals, earning her Player of the Match. Shekhinah’s clinical five-goal performance and stellar defensive efforts from Donya and Hollie added to a superb team effort.

U11 White: Six Scorers in a Fantastic Win
A brilliant performance saw the U11 White dominate from start to finish, moving the ball well and defending as a solid unit. After a patient start, the floodgates opened, with six different players getting on the scoresheet. Special praise went to the goalkeepers and defenders, who provided the foundation for success.

U14 Green: Determined Fightback Ends in Thrilling Draw
The U14 Green showed incredible character in a 5-5 draw. Down 2-0 at halftime, they stormed back to lead 4-2 and then 5-4 before conceding a heartbreaking equaliser with the last kick of the game. Competing in the top division, the Greens continue to prove their resilience and determination.

U9 Silver: Teamwork and Lessons Learned
The U9 Silver played with determination and focus, showcasing impressive teamwork and passing. While some simple errors undid their hard work, the boys demonstrated remarkable resilience and a willingness to learn. A proud day for the team, who never stopped working for each other.

U16 White: Heroic Effort in FA County Cup Heartbreaker
In an FA County Cup clash, the U16 White battled valiantly in a 1-1 draw, only to lose 4-3 on penalties. After a slow first half, the boys grew into the game, with Nicholas scoring on a high press. Despite conceding a late equaliser and the heartbreak of penalties, the team’s resilience and progress were inspiring. Player of the Match Junior was a defensive powerhouse in a heroic team performance.

U18 White: Second-Half Surge Secures Dominant Win
