U12 WHITE GIRLS REACH FINAL WITH DOMINANT DISPLAY
Cup game (semi-finals) | Score: 3-0 win | PotM: Sofia, Melisa | Coaches: Tony Sylvan, Seema Golding, John Panayiotou
A glorious Sunday morning made for perfect playing conditions for this semi-final fixture.
The girls made an outstanding start, showing bravery on the ball and playing out from the back to find dangerous wide players Sofia and Melisa. For the first 20 minutes, the team did everything but score, as the opposition goalkeeper made a string of fine saves that drew applause from both sets of parents.
Kayci was called into action after 20 minutes, making an outstanding save to tip the ball over the crossbar. From the resulting corner, Omonia countered quickly, leading to Sofia tapping in from close range. Soon after, Sophia found herself unmarked from a corner to make it 2-0 at half-time.
The second half was more evenly matched, but Omonia’s strong defensive display gave the attackers freedom to push forward. Persistent pressure led to a penalty, which Poppy confidently dispatched into the top corner for a 3-0 lead. The opposition applied late pressure, but the girls’ work rate ensured they were limited to long-range efforts.
A fantastic performance and, more importantly, a display of great sportsmanship at the final whistle. Sofia was awarded Player of the Match, with Melisa taking Parents’ Player of the Match. Finals—here we come!

U14 GREEN BOW OUT OF LEAGUE CUP IN TOUGH BATTLE
League cup match (quarter-final) | Score: 3-1 loss | Coaches: Jack Markou, Manos Hadjimanolis
A disappointing day at the office, not helped by some very questionable refereeing and linesman decisions against the Greens.
On a difficult pitch, the team struggled to play their usual passing game and became frustrated by the conditions and refereeing decisions. This led to a dip in concentration, which is something to learn from moving forward.
With four league games left in the season, the focus now shifts to solidifying a mid-table finish in the Red division—an achievement the team would have been pleased with at the start of the season.
U10 GIRLS SHOW BELIEF AND GROWTH DESPITE TOUGH BATTLE
Coaches: Theo Constantinou, Jake Mitchell, Katie Karakoukis
Facing a physically strong opposition, the girls started with confidence but were tested early. A half-time regroup saw them return with greater intensity and a stronger press, leading to noticeable improvement. Although the result didn’t go their way, the game provided valuable lessons as the team continues to grow.

U13 SILVER STAGE SPIRITED COMEBACK IN CUP FIXTURE
Coaches: George Sammoutis, Mitul Kataria | PotM: Kristian – Captain’s Performance | Goal-scorers: Andreas (2) | Match info: Cup Fixture
A closely fought first half saw Omonia go behind just before the break. A second goal early in the second half could have been a mental setback, but the team responded superbly. With ten minutes to go, Alan set up Andreas for a composed finish, and moments later, Andreas grabbed his second after a well-delivered corner. Pushing for a winner, Omonia dominated but had to settle for a well-earned 2-2 draw. A battling display full of grit and character.
U9 SILVER GIVE THEIR ALL ON A CHALLENGING PITCH
Coaches: Kyri Karaiskakis, Paolo Di Bernado, Becky Nyman
The boys battled hard on a difficult surface that made quick passing almost impossible. They created plenty of chances with their attacking speed, but the conditions took their toll as the game wore on. Despite tiring legs, they gave 100% until the final whistle.

U11 WHITE LEARN VALUABLE LESSONS IN LEAGUE ENCOUNTER
Coaches: Abdi Ismail, Christos Hajipapas, Fahd Kashmiri
A strong start saw Omonia in control, but a drop in work rate allowed the opposition back into the game. Frustrations grew with some questionable officiating, but the key takeaway was to focus on what can be controlled. The post-match message was clear: talent alone isn’t enough—effort and responsibility are vital.
U16 PAN-DISABILITY SHINE AT WATFORD TOURNAMENT
Coach: Mary Tryphona
Invited to compete at the prestigious Watford Dome, the team played with heart and skill. With just five players, they won three games and drew one, only missing out on the trophy on goal difference. Shenelle impressed in her debut matches, while Freddy was a rock in defence. Joseph and Mathew formed a great attacking duo, JJ played everywhere, and the entire squad showed incredible determination. A fantastic day for the team!
