Omonia Youth FC Weekly Round-Up: Friendship On and Off the Pitch (23/11)
November 24, 2025

This weekend reflected what makes Omonia Youth FC special — the friendships, the bonds, and the sense of community that extend far beyond the football pitch. Several teams held their Christmas socials, a reminder that the club experience isn’t just about training and match-days, but also about the memories the players create together. From bowling trips to festive gatherings, the focus was on togetherness, fun, and strengthening the relationships that support their footballing journey. These celebrations capture the heart of Omonia: a club where belonging matters as much as football, and where teams grow closer both on and off the pitch.
U11 Silver – A Confident Performance Full of Heart
WFL Home match | PotM: Joshi, Loui & Max | Coaches: Angelo L. & Peter L.

Omonia Youth FC U11 Silver
Omonia U11 Silvers started cautiously at home but quickly grew into the game. After an even opening spell, the boys began to dominate with intelligent passing and relentless pressing. The second half saw them completely overwhelm their opponents with drive, teamwork, and a brilliant attitude. Their hard work in training was clear for everyone to see, and the morning ended with smiles all around.
U15 White – Narrow Defeat Despite Outstanding Team Performance
WFL match | Away vs Norseman U15 | 3–2 loss | Goal-scorers: Alex P., James | PotM: Attila | Coaches: George A. & Mark H.
Omonia U15 White delivered a brave and highly impressive performance away to a strong, physical Norseman side, showing real progress, character, and togetherness throughout the match. The team started brightly, setting the tempo early with confident play. Alex P. opened the scoring with a composed finish, rewarding Omonia’s early dominance. Norseman replied through a well-executed set piece, and despite both teams creating chances, the half took an unfortunate turn when Alex X. was forced off with injury.
The midfield—Adam, James, Zak, and Yahya—responded superbly, competing for every ball and keeping Omonia on the front foot. However, two high-quality strikes late in the half left the team 3–1 down at the break, giving Aref no chance.
The response after half-time was exceptional. Omonia pressed with renewed intensity, with Attila leading the line brilliantly—winning challenges, stretching the defence, and causing constant problems. Adam continued to dominate in the CDM role, breaking up play and driving the team forward. With ten minutes remaining, James produced a superb long-range finish into the bottom corner to make it 3–2 and shift the momentum firmly in Omonia’s favour.
The final spell was one-way traffic. Omonia pressed relentlessly, created multiple openings, and completely controlled the closing stages, but the equaliser just wouldn’t fall. Despite the result, the performance was full of belief, quality, and fight from start to finish.
Player of the Match: Attila – outstanding work rate, intelligent movement, and a constant attacking threat.
