Omonia Youth FC Weekly Round-Up: Festive Football and End-of-Year Celebrations (21/12)
December 23, 2025

The final weekend of the year brought a fitting close to another busy chapter for Omonia Youth FC. With competitive fixtures on the pitch and festive celebrations off it, the focus remained firmly on togetherness, progress, and the community spirit that runs through the club. Here is a round-up of the final match action, alongside a look at how teams marked the end of the year together.
U9 Green
WFL | Home vs Enfield Rangers U9 White | PotM: Leo | Coaches: Andy, Paul, Chris
Omonia were involved in a closely contested match against a physically strong Enfield side in an entertaining festive fixture. It took the boys a few early minutes to adjust to the intensity and physicality, but once settled they more than held their own across the pitch. The game was played at a good tempo, with plenty of positive moments and commitment from both teams.
There were several standout contributions, including a tireless defensive display from George and an excellent finish from Michael following a corner. Leo was a constant driving force in attack and his ability to create chances while battling against much bigger players earned him a well-deserved Player of the Match award.
U14 Silver
WFL | Home vs HMH Rangers | 7-0
A dominant team performance from Omonia and a commanding victory with seven different goal-scorers. The team started quickly and made a strong impression early on, with Jack opening the scoring before Albion followed up with a superb finish. Further chances were created as Maxi added a fine solo goal and Alex struck before half time.
Leading 4–0 at the break, the focus remained on maintaining intensity and securing a clean sheet. The second half continued in the same vein, with Kyri tapping in smartly at the far post, followed by a swift counter that ended with a chipped finish from Shay. Andreas completed the scoring with a well-deserved seventh, rounding the keeper and finishing neatly. A comprehensive team performance and an excellent way to end the year.
