It was a truly special weekend for Omonia Youth FC, proudly sponsored by Stef & Phillips. On and off the pitch, the club continues to go from strength to strength — highlighted by being named Middlesex FA Club of the Month, an award that recognises excellence in welfare, development, and community engagement.
This past weekend, all Omonia Youth FC teams observed a minute’s silence before their matches in commemoration of the fallen for Remembrance Sunday. It was a poignant moment that united the club across every age group, reflecting the values of respect, gratitude, and community that lie at the heart of everything Omonia stands for.

U13 Gold – Spirited Cup Battle Ends in Narrow Defeat

A thrilling cup tie saw Omonia U13 Golds battle bravely against Ruislip Rangers. After an early lead through Christian’s stunning top-corner strike, Omonia found themselves trailing 4–1 at the break. The team came out for the second half with renewed determination — Eren and Losene combined brilliantly to set up Logan for two superb finishes, levelling the score at 4–4. Despite a late penalty miss and a heartbreaking final goal from a corner, the fightback epitomised the team’s never-say-die attitude and unity.
U16 Green – Six Different Scorers in Dominant Win
Home vs Highgate & Muswell Hill | 9–3 win | Goals: Zishan, Ishaan, Mo (2), Magnus, Kristian, Georgio (2), Zac | Coaches: Samuel & John
A commanding performance from start to finish saw Omonia U16 Green secure a resounding victory. The boys set the tone early with relentless pressing and slick passing, storming into a three-goal lead. A brief lapse after the break allowed the visitors back into the game, but Omonia quickly restored control with six different scorers — a club record for the team. A dominant display that reignites their league ambitions.

Played in wonderful spirit, this fixture captured everything great about youth football. The Greens were composed and creative, combining fluent passing with tireless work rate. Their discipline and communication helped them control long stretches of play, while both teams showed mutual respect and sportsmanship — a fitting tribute on a day of reflection.
U11 Silver – Back to Winning Ways with High-Tempo Football

After a tough outing last week, the U11 Silvers bounced back in style. Their fast-paced, high-pressing football put Belsize Park under pressure from the outset. Omonia’s energy and movement were excellent, and although they were made to work hard for openings, the persistence paid off in a dominant display. A confident step forward built on teamwork and determination.
U14 Silver – Late Winner Secures Deserved Victory

Omonia earned a deserved victory thanks to two outstanding goals. Nicolas’s first-half volley from 20 yards drew them level before Albion’s late through ball set up Alan for a composed finish. The boys showed great resolve and maturity, learning valuable lessons about finishing and consistency along the way.
U16 Pan-Disability – Triple Milestone in Historic Win

A landmark day for Omonia’s Pan-Disability U16s, and fittingly the centrepiece of this week’s round-up. The team delivered a thrilling 7–5 win against Brentford CST — their first-ever victory against this side — marking three special firsts: Jack’s debut goal, Jaydon’s first hat-trick, and a monumental team triumph. From crisp passing to fearless defending, every player contributed to an unforgettable game. Matthew’s two superb goals, Joseph’s tireless running, and Barbod’s leadership in defence epitomised the group’s spirit. Supported by Tony from the Board of Trustees, the team once again showed why Omonia’s inclusive football programme is a beacon of opportunity, belief, and joy.
U18 Girls – Comeback Victory Showcases True Character
Home vs Evergreen U18 Girls | 7–4 win | Goal-scorers: Sheks (4), Ellie (2), Sophie | Players of the Match: Amelia & Ellie | Coaches: Sophia, Samuel & Myri
A true game of two halves. After a slow start and a 3–2 deficit at the break, the girls transformed their performance in the second half — playing with fluidity, confidence, and intensity. Ellie and Sheks led the charge, contributing to a stunning second-half turnaround. Amelia was superb at the back, while Ellie’s attacking influence proved decisive. A thrilling, character-filled win.
U18 Gold – Advance to Quarter-Finals of Middlesex Cup

Omonia advanced to the quarter-finals after another strong performance. Despite early pressure, the boys grew into the game and took control. Alessandro struck twice — first with a powerful header from a corner, then with a curling effort into the corner — before George S. sealed the win. A confident 3–1 result that keeps the cup dream alive.

A disciplined and patient performance saw the U15 Golds progress in the Middlesex Cup. After conceding from a set piece, the boys regrouped and equalised early in the second half. The game went to extra time, where their belief and composure were rewarded with a decisive winning goal from Mal.
