An early start on a bright morning set the scene for the girls’ first ever match as a team. They worked tirelessly in the first half and regrouped at half-time determined to raise their performance. Despite an early setback in the second half, their confidence grew as the game went on. The girls showed fantastic teamwork, battled until the end, and walked off smiling proudly to their parents. A great first step, and plenty more to come.

The U16 Pan Disability side impressed with their teamwork, passing, and communication. Every player contributed with determination and spirit. Matthew worked tirelessly across the pitch and found the net with excellent strikes. Joseph defended strongly while also scoring, and Jaydon earned his first ever competitive goal with a tireless display. In goal, Zennon commanded his area brilliantly, and captain Babod led from the back with composure. The squad left proud of their efforts and already looking forward to the next set of fixtures.

U13 Gold
Away vs Alexandra Palace West – Goals: Cristian, Alfie – POTM: David

Omonia Youth FC U13 Gold

The U13 Gold side faced last season’s runners-up and adapted to the step up to 11-a-side football with heart. Despite going two goals behind early on, the team fought back, with Cristian finishing smartly after a cross from Joe. Alfie then equalised with a superb free kick, as Omonia pressed forward and dominated the second half. Though they were unlucky to be denied by the woodwork and a last-second goal, the boys went home with heads held high, proud of their performance and excited for the challenges ahead.

U9 White
Away vs Hadley Rangers
In their first official WFL match, the U9 White side battled hard against an established opponent. The team created chances by combining well in attack and showed glimpses of real promise. Fitness is improving and the players are learning to adapt to the demands of bigger pitches and goals. Training will focus on bravery, quicker passing, and defensive shape — but the effort and determination are already shining through. A strong start to their football journey.

With only one substitute available, the U10 Silvers gave everything in their season opener. Despite nerves caused by a famous face on the opposition touchline, the boys stood firm and never gave up. Goalkeeper George pulled off outstanding saves that lifted the team and kept them in the game, earning him Player of the Match. The squad showed resilience and unity, and now have a clear picture of where to improve as they prepare for upcoming fixtures.

U18 Girls
Home vs Chorleywood – 3–3 draw – Goals: Shekhinah (2), Ellie – POTM: Nicole
In another thrilling 3–3 draw, the U18 Girls started strongly, racing into a two-goal lead before half-time saw the game level at 3–3. The team responded brilliantly after the break, tightening their defensive shape and conceding nothing more. Nicole earned Player of the Match with an incredible full-stretch save, while the entire defence impressed with a strong second-half display. Going forward, the attacking link-up play was excellent and produced three well-worked goals. With fitness improving, the team looks set for a very positive season.

Manu’s movement and finishing stood out, while new signings Greg and George impressed on their debuts with composure and determination. The match ended evenly, but it was a performance that showed plenty of positives and promise.

The U12 Whites earned a hard-fought win in their opening league fixture. Having never beaten this opponent before, the boys showed real character to go into half-time level at 2–2. In the second half, improved desire and off-the-ball work gave them the edge, with Grayson scoring what proved to be the winner. A late scare from corners was dealt with bravely, and the team held on for an excellent start to the season.

U15 Gold
Away vs HMs – 5–3 win – Goals: Dino (3), Mal, Yash
After a summer of changes, the U15 Golds made a flying start to the season. They dominated much of the game and stormed into a 5–0 lead with quick, controlled football. Dino led the way with a superb hat-trick, scoring from inside the box, outside the box, and from a free kick. Mal and Yash also added fine goals. Though the opposition hit back with three late strikes, the result was never in doubt — a fantastic win to kick off the campaign.

U16 Green
League – FSP 2–5 Omonia – Goals: Kristian (3) – POTM: Balraj
The U16 Greens secured an impressive victory in a closely fought contest. Kristian gave the team an early boost with two outstanding long-range goals, but lapses in concentration after the break allowed FSP back into the game. The squad then refocused, pressed aggressively, and dominated the final half-hour. Balraj delivered a commanding display at centre-back to earn Player of the Match, while Kristian completed his hat-trick in style. A disciplined and encouraging team performance so early in the season.
