STEVEN TOUMBAS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Anthony Matas

Anthony’s commitment to the team despite personal health challenges was outstanding. While most would have walked away under the circumstances, Anthony instead threw himself even more into Omonia, girls’ football and his team. He maintained a positive and fun spirit and consistently went above and beyond to ensure the girls experienced a high standard of football while building strong friendships. He also kept the parents closely connected and was a regular presence every Friday night at the clubhouse, sharing a drink with them all.

Xenia Tryphona, Andre Eleftheriou, Zak Kyriacou

Xenia, Andre and Zak attended our weekly pan-disability training sessions, where they each played an important role in supporting the players. Their encouragement, positivity and willingness to help contributed to a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone involved.

OYFC YOUNG BRAVERY AWARD

Oliver Klempa

Oliver was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease halfway through the season. He showed real spirit by continuing to train and play in matches, and consistently worked extremely hard despite the side effects of the medication and treatments he was going through.
